12:45 am – return home from SHiNDig.
1:15 am – set alarm for 7:15, go to sleep
6:58 am – Fire alarm goes off in building, scaring the bejeezus outta me.
7:05 am – manage to get second cat into cat box, and race downstairs.
7:06 am – building manager informs the huddled sleepy wrecks that some joker on the 16th floor tried to disconnect his smoke detector.
7:08 am – fire engines arrive. As always, flashing siren lights make me feel nauseous.
7:14 am – re-enter building as firemen turn off fire alarm.
7:16 am – crawl into bed just as radio alarm goes off.
