Baboon brains!

Well, that does. I can no longer call someone baboon-brained when they do something stupid. Apparently Baboons are capable of reasoning.

This is the test they used to for this:

Which is the same but different?.

It did take a while for the baboons to get the hang of the test; only after several thousand tries were the baboons able to get the right answer 80 per cent of the time.

Two people who took the test, on the other hand, could master the test after only 100 tries.

100 times!??!! Were they 2? It seems pretty basic to me…but then, maybe these people really like their banana pellets as reward…

  1. Well…Hmm…not sure what you don’t get.

Why it seems strange it took so long for people to get? Well, there was only 2 types of cards : 1, where everything was different, and one where everything was the same. I could understand it maybe taking 5, perhaps even 10 tries to master this game for a reasonably intelligent human. But 100 times? That just seems very slow on the uptake to me. =>
