Implicit Messaging

So last night I went to a lecture about Messaging in Information Architecture given by Day and Christine, a colleague of his from Communicopia.Net at Bodwell Internet. Overall, the lecture was a little bit too much of an overview for my uses, but I did come out with a few new nuggets. First, and perhaps most important was the difference between ‘how?’ and ‘why?’ when investigating what a client really means/wants/needs in an IA session.

The other nugget was this absolute gem of a website called laramara. It’s by a Brazilian company called Thunderhouse, it’s in English and is absolutely brilliant on so many levels, that messaging is almost the least of them. So have a look. You’ll need sound & Flash, but it’s really rewarding.
