I find that comment very interesting. (Haven’t read the whole article yet.) Especially since Jim Carrey, of all people, has such an insincere public persona. Every time I see him play “over-the-top Jim” at an awards ceremony, I cringe at his desperate, slavering need for approval. But he’s right. So is he conscious of his fakeness? Does that make it ironic, or just sadder than ever?
