In a stunning reversal of policy for this administration, the US is walking away from a 1.5 billion dollar project to develop high-mileage gas-powered vehicles in favour of developing fuel cells.
While this is one small step for humankind, it seems to me to mark a dramatic shift in who is lining the republican’s pockets. The gas companies are clearly losing out here, as it has been the Big 3 car makers that have been leading fuel cell research on a massive-corporation scale.

I’ve been wondering if the ground has been about to shift, as I’ve noticed a few ads in various locales for the hybrid cars from Toyota and Honda popping up where they were previously conspicuously absent.
