Why I Love the Alliance

John Reynolds, interim leader of The Alliance, claims that the reason Dubya hasn’t apologised to Canada for the deaths of our soldiers at the hands of one of their pilots, is Chrétien’s dislike of FPOTUS George Bush (senior).

“The Prime Minister, as leader of the opposition, said he didn’t like the former president — the President’s father. And if somebody had said that about my father, I wouldn’t have kind words for him, either.”

Yeah. I’m sure that’s why Dubya hasn’t apologised. He’s that petty. I don’t expect the POTUS to call the families of the soldiers – that’s Chrétien’s job – but a statement of apology to the nation of Canada would seem the prudent thing to do. It doesn’t cost them anything, and avoids a whole lot of potential troubles.

  1. ah the alliance. i’m grateful that they make themselves so easy to hate. what a totally useless thing to say. as if politics has anything to do with personal family issues… oh but wait for the alliance it does.
