Emira (via Lauren) sent me this link to BookCrossing. It’s a book-tracker, in the vein of ‘Where’s George?’, that lets you add journal entries as well about the found book.
It’s a neat idea – I like the idea of buying a used book, then finding who else has read the book, what they thought of it, etc… If the reader’s interpretation is more important than the writer’s intent, this becomes doubly interesting, I think, as the previous reader’s experiences and notes would forcibly affect your own.
