Browser Fun!

Go to Bookbuffet.com, a site I will be developing at Digitopolis (there’s currently only a placeholder page). Look at the page in Netscape 3, 4, 6.2; Mozilla 1; Internet Explorer 6; Opera 5. All of those on the PC. I haven’t even ventured across to Mac or Linux platforms. Virtually every browser displays this page slightly differently. At the same time, this page is perfectly valid XHTML. Ain’t this fun? I’m pretty sure the extra spacing in the tables in some browsers comes from how I’m using images next to each other, but apart from that, your guess is as good as mine…

  1. I just spent the last 2 1/2 hours trying to make an excruciatingly simple site work in NS 4.7, so I hear you, brother. At least the BookBuffet website looks *good* in all the browsers. 🙂
