Time Management

So Im struggling with a thing here…
I work, roughly 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I’d say I average about 1 hour of tv-watching a day too, significantly higher during such things as the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Olympics and World Cup. I also often do contract work on the side, that averages out to around 20 hours a week during certain stretches. One of the things I enjoy doing is playing computer games. But the games I like the most are strategy games and roleplaying games. Both of which tend to happen in long stretches of game playing. If I get a new computer game, which I will probably do Tuesday, with the release of Neverwinter Nights, I can’t really sacrifice paid time towards game-playing, which means it comes out of my spare time. Which means I don’t spend nearly enough time with Leah, which sucks for both of us, because I’m busy enough as it is.

I think I should find a way to live healthily on 2-3 hours sleep a night. I think those extra 5-6 hours a day would go a long way to creating some spare time for me.

And you know the odd thing? I look at my folks, who work long, long hours, and think they’re crazy. I tell myself I don’t want to work like that (truth be told, were financial issues not at play, I wouldn’t work like this), and yet here I am, keeping pace with my parents in the work-hour race.

Bleh.
