Beck’s got a new album due sometime, and new site (mostly) just launched. The highlight of the site is of course, new Beck songs! They’re showcasing one song a week until the album release (so perhaps the release is in 13 weeks?). I’m currently listening to the track, called ‘The Golden Age’, which is a mellow, really folksy song – much more in the tradition of One Foot In the Grave and Mutations than any of his major releases. That he is doing a solo acoustic tour this August (skipping Vancouver, of course) seems to confirm my opinion that this album is more folky – but that’s A-Ok with me, pardner!
