  3. I am very touched by your tribute to our friend, “Russ”. (aka “Wonderwoman” for those of you who had the pleasure of knowing about the many super-powers he possessed!!)

Russ was a very special friend to me, the power that I benefited from was his calming nature. He always seemed to be able to de-stress me during some trying times in my life. For that…I am ever thankful!

  5. for me I think it was the way he always “just knew”. You know, he just knew what to do in unpredictable situations. He just knew how to say the right thing to bring humor into a tense situation. He just knew what would be the perfect gifts for all his friends. He just knew.

I think the hardest thing I am finding is that I didn’t realize just how important my visits to Russ’s were, how much I looked forward to seeing him, chatting, joking around, just generally being in his presence. Walking home from work this past week – every day I will be walking along, hand reaching for my cel, then I realize that I can’t call him, won’t be going to see him. Walking down Davie street in tears is getting to be a frighteningly normal occurence for some of us…
    miss you lots, Russ.

  7. I just learned yesterday July 14th 2008, the passing of Russ… Russ had a special place in my hearth.. I had been looking for Russ for 15 years… We broke up in 1989 or so and he moved to Texas.. I later realized how much he loved me and how bad I conducted myself towards him.. I also discovered I loved him so very much and was thinking about him all the time and still do to this day.. So much I wanted to say to him… So much I wanted to know about his life after us and the end of his life.. I miss him dearly, always will . He seemed to have found love and happiness…I keep looking at the only picture I have of Russ, the one he gave me one morning.. , The one I will keep until the day I die… So long old friend.. I love you. Michaelxxx
