I said to myself that I wouldn’t post about The War, as really, it troubles me to no end. That being said, there’s been a few posts on the issues surrounding the war, and this one is one of those.
Apparently, there is a battle between Donald Rumsfeld and the Generals at the Pentagon over how this war is being run. It is odd, actually, if I think back to my childhood and the news reports from the first Gulf War (GW1?). It was always General Schwarzkopf (sp?) in the media. This time, all things seem to be coming via the White House.

I too am not talking about the war. (Actually, I am shamefully remiss in this regard.) I feel a little guilty talking about the frivolities that I do in these trying times, but I figure so many other people are talking about it and doing a much better job at it than i ever could.
