Tonight, I was supposed to play in game one of the UBC ThunderChicken hockey tournament. I’ve been told, however, that the opposing team has forfeited the game. Why? Because they want to watch game 7.
I know this is a silly pickup hockey tournament, but that’s some commitment to the Canucks. So we’ll probably skate around for a while, listening to the game on the radio at the rink. Playing hockey while listening to hockey. That seems somehow eminently Canadian.
