So I’ve been listening to Galaxie Dance while working tonight. Just now, I got to listen to about 5 minutes of a skipping CD, which was both horrible and rather funny. Fortunately, it didn’t go on forever. This was the first mistake (well, if you don’t count some bizarre programming choices) that I’ve heard on Galaxie. This mistake somehow endears the network to me, which up until now, has been this black (empty tv screen), faceless source of music coming across my tv. Now it has a human element, which is always a plus. I often find that these days it is the imperfections that endear me to services, products, etc — perhaps I miss the imperfections of human input in our increasingly automated, proficient, perfected world.
