  1. Let’s see what’s next on the agenda? Social marriage-as-institution reform? My (Reform!) rabbi in Windsor told me flat-out: “No, I have issues with marrying gay couples.” How about the enactment of same-sex domestic violence laws? Wait, how about the enforcement of existing domestic violence laws? Joining the club has responsibilities; let’s see if lesbians and gay men step up to the challenge of changing what marriage is all about–or if they get complacent and focus on some other issue that seems to be more important, like the privilege of adopting children, the “natural next step” after marriage and one more thing to make us “just like them,”
