iTunes for Windows

so iTunes for Windows has been released, and it is for the most part good. However, and this is a big one, if you have your music already organized in a way that you like, DON’T (and I repeat: DON’T) let iTunes ‘organize your music’ for you. It will literally move files around, tossing things into new folders. The best is my large collection of tracks that were summarily dumped into the ‘Unknown’ folder, rather than where they were. Which is shitty. Now I have to go back an organize the files the way they were. It’s really pissed me off right now.

iTunes will also install an un-advertised ‘iPod Hardware’ management service, even if you don’t have an iPod. Yes, you can turn off the service, but it’s annoying to have to do so.
