Seeing as Emira, Brishen and Leah all tagged me, I’m going to join in on this 4Things meme:

4 Jobs I’ve had:

1. Door-to-Door knife salesman – for the first 6 weeks of summer after first year at UBC. I was surprisingly good at this, but I hated it. Fortunately, I was hired on as
2. Tech Support at Princess Margaret Hospital. Yes, this was nepotism, as my dad works there (although I wasn’t hired by him, I’m sure he had something to do with it). However, I excelled at this job, and shaped everything I’ve done since, including
3. Various tech-support & programming jobs at UBC ITServices. It’s where I met most of the people I now know.
4. I finally got my own gig, as a co-owner of Pencilneck Software,which, as of February 1st, is now 3 years old! Wow! I certainly can’t ever imagine ever working for someone else again, and with any luck, I’ll never have to.

4 movies I could watch over and over:

1. Star Wars – really, both SW:ANH, and SW:TSB, but I’ll count them as one
2. Office Space – “I could blow this place up”. That line kills me every time.
3. The Iron Giant – absolutely my favourite animated film, and seriously underrated overall.
4. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy – I count all three as one really long film because they segue so seamlessly together. I think I’ve watched the extended version of the three at least 7 or 8 times, and I quite often dip into one DVD for a scene or two.
5. An honorable mention goes to The Big Lebowski

4 Places I’ve lived

1. Toronto, ON – this accounts for the first 17 years of my life, with a brief interruption to do an exchange to
2. Paris, France, which was only for 4 months, but I’m going to count it because
3. Vancouver, BC is the only other place I’ve lived. But I have lived in 7 different apartments in the city, as well as at
4. UBC Residence, BC, which will have to count as my fourth place. I’m so lame.

4 TV Shows I love:

1. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart – this is the main reason I have cable. I stay up later than I should, every night, just to watch this show.
2. Hockey Night in Canada – does this count? It’s on weekly, and I love it, even though I don’t often get to watch an entire double-header.
3. Veronica Mars – in my opinion, the best show on TV currently.
4. Battlestar Galactica – As good as Sci-fi gets. Of course, I mean the new series, not the old one. I suspect I’ll own every season of this one once it’s done, as I could totally watch this over and over and over.
