Lego Mindstorms

Were I single man, I would be in serious danger of becoming a recluse. The reason? Lego Mindstorms. Despite being nearly 30, I still love Lego. I never touch it anymore, due mostly to the cost of the models I like, and combine that with a beautiful, powerful and easy-to-use programming interface? I’d be lost forever building little Lego Robots to run around my house with.

As time passes, it becomes increasing clear to me that having a wife is perhaps the only thing that keeps me socialized. She only has to be gone for a weekend, and I immediately stop returning calls, I stay up all night doing geeky things, and I mumble to myself as I walk, oblivious to the world at large. Having daily, in-person social interaction is a really good thing for me.
