scene: I’m walking past an anti-war protest along Burrard St, just outside of my place. I’m wearing my Communist Party t-shirt. A protester, marching underneath a ‘Communist Party of Canada’ banner, crosses Burrard to talk to me.
Marcher: That shirt’s not funny.
Myself: Yes it is!
The marchers gives me an angry look, then hurries back to his comrades. He and a female compatriot talk to each other, gesturing at me. I walk home.
