As we enter 2002, Osama bin Laden remains at large, the economy is uncertain and the Middle East is on edge. We also wonder: Which diseases will be cured? What technologies will be hot? Who will boom — or bust — at the box office?
I love that after terrorism, medical advances and technological advances, our fourth most pressing concern for the new year is how well movies will do. That’s just so corporatist.
