Today, I ‘upgraded’ from Cold Fusion Studio 5 to Dreamweaver MX & Homesite +. I’ve been using Cold Fusion Studio in it’s various incarnations for nearly as long as I’ve been programming for the web. It’s an old friend. But now, it is being retired, as Macromedia continues lavishing attention on the young. Fortunately, from intial appearances, Homesite+ is CF Studio with a new start-up graphic and name. The Dreamweaver MX part is mostly to replace Dreamweaver 3, although it is far more useful to me, with at least a modicum of intelligence when handling CFML, and some pretty darn impressive standards support built right in.
